Overview:

“Bandipur Tour - Excursion of Queen of Hills in Nepal”

Bandipur Tour is delightful excursion of queen of hills of Nepal. As the name suggests the place is undoubtedly a royal destination. However, the amenities are not sumptuous but the natural and cultural attractions are one of the best. It is best suited for honeymoon tour as well as family leisure tour.

The journey of Bandipur Tour starts from Kathmandu on a private vehicle. Travelers take the Prithvi Highway which is also known as Kathmandu – Pokhara road. This tour is full of architectural village visit, vantage point and caves exploration.

Everest Buddha Treks’ itinerary of this tour is very different. Most of the tour agencies’ take travelers straight to Bandipur. However, our itinerary takes you to the Siddha Cave first before Bandipur. The cave is the largest cave in entire Asia in terms of the area. The cave is very spacious and has numerous images of gods and goddesses formed naturally. It takes about 45 minutes of walking from the highway to reach the cave. Travelers then have to hike further 2 hours to reach the Bandipur Village. However, they can choose to go by bus as well. Our travel planners’ recommendation is to do short hiking through jungles and green lush forests to reach Bandipur.

Town of Bandipur is quite and on top of the hill. The scenery is perfect from the village ground. One can see the mountain vistas. The spectacular experience is the scenery of surrounding hills and landscape. Strolling on the walking trail of Bandipur is also refreshing. Vehicles are not allowed in main village area. Therefore, it is peaceful and pollution free.

Early morning hike of nearby hill for the sunrise is another highlight of this tour. Consult with the travel planners of Everest Buddha Treks for the tour extension. Bandipur is on the way to Pokhara. Therefore, if you are on a Pokhara tour you can add Bandipur or vice versa.

Book the Bandipur Tour in Nepal and explore the majestic queen of hills.

The shortest of trek can be Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, Langtang Helambu Trek or the Annapurna Circuit. The Everest trek and the full Annapurna sanctuary Trek can be ideal if you have a little more time. Finally, if you are looking for something that’s longer and more challenging, you’re looking at Kanchanjunga or Makalu area Trek.

Should I trek with an agency or should I trek alone?

Trekking alone can be a good experience if you are familiar with the terrain and have quite a few experiences in the area. Nobody can drag you down, and you can move at your own pace savoring the pleasant sceneries around to you. However, if it is your first experience or so, you might want to travel in group or with an agency. Should situations like medical emergencies, isolation due to disasters, etc. occur, having a group can be a matter of relief. If you have no group and you’re all by yourselves, you can hire a porter or a guide.

Is communication to our home country possible while on a trek or climb?

Nepal’s communication facilities are getting day by day, and most portions of trekking routes have mobile phone coverage. In case of a climb, VHF or satellite phones are available at the base camp. In both cases, weather can play an important role in communication.
