Ltd. offer one day cultural trip about Bhaktapur, its people i.e. Newari culture, lifestyles and temples with wood carvings on it.
Our one day trip at Bhaktapur sightseeing starts from Thamel. Firstly, we head towards Surya Binayak Temple also known by Ganeshthan Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesh. It is believed to have originally built over 1500 years old during rule of Lichhavi King Vishnu Dev Berma. It is one of the 4 Popular shrines of Lord Ganesh in Kathmandu valley which is also called by the temple of rising sun. This place is holy and is said to wash away all our sorrows and pains. Secondly, we move to Nyatapol Temple which is 5-storeyed Pagoda style temple erected by Bhupatindra Malla. It is te temple of Siddha laxmi, Godess of Prosperity. We visit Dattatreya temple which is as old as Palace of 55- windows. It is 3-storeyed pagoda style temple with statues of Hindu trinity (Brahma - The Creator, Vishnu - The Preserver and Shiva - The Destroyer) and built during reign of King Yaksha malla. It is said to be constructed from a single piece of wood from one tree. We then move to Sukul Dhoka, main entrance for Durbar Square. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is most beautiful artitectural showpieces of valley with ancient arts in it including wood carvings. Last but not least we visit to Changu Narayan Temple, devoted to Lord Vishnu, which is the oldest Hindu Temples of Kathmandu valley in pagoda style. It is bevieved to have ben
constructed in 4th century. A little sightseeing and we head back to Thamel for rest and ready to move onto next trip.
