Overview:

“Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking – Annapurna Sunrise Trek”

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is also called as Annapurna Sunrise Trek. What are the things that you consider if you want to go on a week - long holiday? What would you do if somebody tells you that in a week’s holiday you can get vista of more than 3 dozen mountains, forests, rivers, villages, lakes as well as city clamor? Yes, it is worth going.

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is probably the most enthralling short trekking holiday trail of the world. Trail extends from beautiful Pokhara Valley and iconic Annapurna Base Camp. The final destination on this trip is the Poon Hill (3210 m). This vantage point is the perfect place to get the outstanding scenery of mountains on all sides.

Journey starts from Ulleri or Tikhedhunga. However, there are numerous trail heads. Trekkers can trek from the Ghandruk route as well. Consult with the Everest Buddha Treks’ travel planners before embarking on this trekking holiday regarding the choice of trail head.

Regular trekking is from Tikhedhunga. Trekkers have to walk full day uphill in order to reach Ghorepani on the first day of trekking. Even if it is uphill walking the green lush forests and chirping sound of birds along with the cool breeze of fresh mountain air enthrall trekkers.

Ghorepani Village

Ghorepani Village is at the top of the hill. The panoramic view of mountains seen from hotel room’s window is very enticing. During spring season trekkers the blooming rhododendron sends romantic vibes all over the village. Therefore, it is highly recommended to trek on this trail during spring season. Though trekking is possible throughout the year on this trail.

Village is home of Magar, Gurung and Chhetris. There are numerous teahouses/lodges. If you love tranquility and laid back village lifestyle then you can opt to spend few days on this village. There is plethora of side hikes which you can do apart from Poon Hill Hike. Gurung Hill Hike and Ghandruk Village route as return trail is also recommended activity to do during Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking.
