Overview:

“Kalinchowk Tour – Forests, Temple, Cable Car, Landscape & Mountain Vistas”

Kalinchowk Tour is refreshingly fun filled two days’ excursion. It is probably the most interesting two days tour to do in Nepal. Moreover, travel planners of Everest Buddha Treks has knitted the itinerary in such a way that travelers get the maximum output from the investment they made.

Tour begins with the road trip from Kathmandu along the Araniko Highway. Final destination is the famous temple of Kalinchowk Bhagawati (goddess). Nowadays Kalinchowk Tour is very famous among domestic as well as foreigners.

The construction of the cable car from the foothill of Kalinchowk Temple hill all the way to top also added the fuel on its popularity. During the winter season the snowfall make it even more gorgeous. In fact it is truly the photographer’s paradise. There are plenty of places where one can capture the great pictures having hilly landscape, mountains and blue sky.

Travelers travel on the road to Dolakha. About 5 kilometers before reaching Dolakha travelers follow the actual Kalinchowk trail. The road is bumpy but the view is spectacular. 4WD jeeps make it easier to travel though. Once at the top travelers are sure to be mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the place.

Cable car ride and the location of temple hype up the tour. Cool mountain air cleanses the soul too. Travelers spend the night at Kuri which is small teahouse town located at the foothill of the temple hill.

During winter season the tourism association of the region has developed the site for the skiing as well.  The place is only site where skiing is possible in Nepal commercially. Apart from skiing travelers can try some rock climbing as well. If you want to extend the tour, add the JIRI town tour too. The town is the gateway to Everest Base Camp Trekking as well. However, it is the classical route as Lukla route is now more famous after the construction of Tenzing Hillary airport.

Book the Kalinchowk Tour in Nepal and witness the great combination of nature and culture.

Everything you want to do is time and cost specific. Besides, your experience in trekking will also matter. There is wide range of options in Nepal if you want to explore. If you arrive in proper season, that is, between September to November (Autumn Season) and March to May (Spring Season), you might just experience something that you will be able to cherish for the lifetime. The shortest of trek can be Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, Langtang Helambu Trek or the Annapurna Circuit. The Everest trek and the full Annapurna sanctuary Trek can be ideal if you have a little more time. Finally, if you are looking for something that’s longer and more challenging, you’re looking at Kanchanjunga or Makalu area Trek.

Should I trek with an agency or should I trek alone?

Trekking alone can be a good experience if you are familiar with the terrain and have quite a few experiences in the area. Nobody can drag you down, and you can move at your own pace savoring the pleasant sceneries around to you. However, if it is your first experience or so, you might want to travel in group or with an agency. Should situations like medical emergencies, isolation due to disasters, etc. occur, having a group can be a matter of relief. If you have no group and you’re all by yourselves, you can hire a porter or a guide.

Is communication to our home country possible while on a trek or climb?

Nepal’s communication facilities are getting day by day, and most portions of trekking routes have mobile phone coverage. In case of a climb, VHF or satellite phones are available at the base camp. In both cases, weather can play an important role in communication.
