The journey of Mera Peak Climbing is iconic. It is the trip of Nepal’s highest permitted climbing peak with an altitude of 6476 m. Everest Buddha Treks has experienced Sherpa crew members for the successful ascent of this beautiful trekking peak.
Mera Peak Climbing with Everest Buddha Treks has 18 days itinerary full of intrepid tale and positive vibes. The journey starts by the flight to Lukla from Kathmandu like regular Everest region expeditions. Upon arrival in Lukla airport, climbers leave the EBC route. We follow the trail to Chhuthang.
Climbers then head towards Thuli Kharka by crossing the Zatrawala Pass. The next destination from Thuli Kharka is towards Kothe. Climbers will have the captivating climbing experiences. They will reach the Khare via Thangnak.
Khare is the place for proper acclimatization activities as well. It is very essential for the successful climbing. Even if the peak is relatively easy to climb, complacency needs to be avoided. After acclimatization climbers head towards the Mera Peak Base Camp which is located at an altitude of 5300 m. The next overnight resting is at the Mera High Camp at an altitude of 5700 m.
Once you are at the top the scenery is heavenly. Relish your time at the top. It is truly magnificent. The peak is also famous for the skiing adventure. In fact, Mera is the only peak in Nepal where skiing is permitted. It will be the wilderness skiing adventure. If you want to add the skiing on your itinerary then you need to let us know in advance.
Climbers will follow the same route to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.
