“Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking – Mystic and Mythic Walking Holiday”

Nepal was hit hard by the nature on 2015 in the form of earthquake. Among various touristic destinations of Nepal Langtang region hit very hard. Moreover, the Langtang Lirung Avalanche added the spice on the wounds of earthquake. Almost whole village was swept away. Despite all these hurdles the people of Langtang revived the area. Trekking is even more fascinating to do in the area than before.

The journey of Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking encompasses Langtang Valley route and Gosainkunda Lake route. These places are the most iconic place to visit in the area.

Langtang Valley Phase

Valley of Langtang is mythic as well as mystic. Trekkers start the walking journey from Syaprubeshi. Trekkers trek past Lama Hotel, Ghoda Tabela and Langtang Village to reach Kyanjin Gompa. This place is the final destination on the first phase of the Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking.

Trekkers hike the Kyanjin Ri for the spectacular perspectives of mountains and Himalayan landscape. The hike and the visit of monastery in Kyanjin Gompa are the major highlight of this phase along with the visit of Langtang Valley village.

Gosaikunda Lake Phase

This phase of trekking is amazing as well as challenging. Trekkers have to trek uphill for the most of the time until they reach Gosaikunda Lake. The trail traverses through Tamang/Lama village. This is also the chance to understand the traditions and culture of Lama People. Consult with our travel planners if you want to do trek exclusively on the Tamang villages. It is called the Tamang Heritage Trail Trek.

Gosaikunda Lake is holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists. It is the great symbol of Nepal’s religious significance and harmony. It is believed that those who take dip into the holy water will have their sin washed away. Regardless of the religious beliefs people feel enchanted and spiritually cleansed once they visit the lake.

Apart from the religious importance trekkers can relish the splendid beauty around the lake. There are other lakes in the area where trekkers can hike to.

Book the Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking in Nepal with us. If you want to experience the sumptuous way of traveling choose the return trip on helicopter. Trekking alone can be a good experience if you are familiar with the terrain and have quite a few experiences in the area. However, if it is your first experience or so, you might want to travel in group or with an agency. Should situations like medical emergencies, isolation due to disasters, etc. occur, having a group can be a matter of relief. If you have no group and you’re all by yourselves, you can hire a porter or a guide.

Is communication to our home country possible while on a trek or climb?

Nepal’s communication facilities are getting day by day, and most portions of trekking routes have mobile phone coverage. In case of a climb, VHF or satellite phones are available at the base camp. In both cases, weather can play an important role in communication.
